Dresses today! This one from dressofyourdreams.com.au and possibly a Chinese wholesaler. I’m a sucker for lace cap-sleeves. I love the tie-up back, I’m not so crash-hot on a train (clumsy!), but I could picture it would be figure flattering, maybe. Can’t try it on, they don’t have a store. Boo.

The one with flowers etc, is Claire Pettibone..

And I Love it. It’s a little wacky, and would cost about $3k+ if I got it from the designer, but it’s cool. There’s 2 of the original with flower on and bodice, and one which was bought by someone and they removed the satin flower on the bodice, which I would prefer to do. I’ve found a Chinese site which seems to replicate these designs for about $2,500+ LESS than you’d pay from the designer. Is that like, copyright breaching for clothes? Is that possible? Maybe, but anyhow. I think I might try and track down the designer’s stores while I’m in the US to try this one on. If I like it, I might order it via China. ;)

And the last is another Claire Pettibone, and is really not my usual style, and Nic would probably say: Yuck! Too much lace! But, it’s got me with the cap sleeves and figure-hugging, curve embracing, hourglass show-offing design. And the back is pretty neat, too.

Um…. I love this dress! I know it’s a bridesmaids dress, but I seem to have more luck with them anyway… And I love it with the colours, too… And only $350…via www.dressofyourdreams.com

“From STILL LIFE WITH WOODPECKER
–Tom Robbins
Love is the ultimate outlaw. It just won’t adhere to any rules. The most any of us can do is to sign on as its accomplice. Instead of vowing to honor and obey, maybe we should swear to aid and abet. That would mean that security is out of the question. The words “make” and “stay” become inappropriate. My love for you has no strings attached. I love you for free.”

One of my favourite ideas, and one that Nic and I adore! Yay flags instead of throwing petals or rice or whatever. Guests can use them as we walk out the aisle after the ceremony, and then throughout the reception. We were also thinking of “woo!” flags. Maybe. I forget where this was from.. :S
